Hi Level IT/Communications (data) Requirements

We need communications between customers (drive-thru and walk-ins), order entry takers, and kitchen

  • Communications between drive-thru customers and order takers will require wireless headsets - wireless technology
  • Monitor to show customers what they ordered, for verification
  • How is drive-thru station connected (blu-tooth)?

We need a point-of-sales system

  • 4 touch screen displays (1 at drive-thru and 3 at front counter) for order entry
  • 1 monitor in kitchen to display orders
  • How connected - cat5 cable?
  • How is data stored (database or excel spreadsheet or other)?
  • Where is data stored (onsite or in the cloud)?
  • Who has access to the data (manager, accounting)?

We need an inventory management system

  • How is inventory taken - since ingredients, probably taken by hand?
  • Since our food is special, do our vendors have a web-based ordering interface?
  • How and where are inventory counts recorded (database, Excel)?

We need an accounting system
We need telephone
We need a website
We need to provide wi-fi access (hotspot)?
